"Love Chains"

There is a woman who used to lie awake waiting for her man to come home, wondering why he was out until 2am every night "playing snooker". She would lie awake and wonder what she could do.
Was it her fault? What if she got angry?
But she never did, at least not enough. She just waited for him to come home - and accepted him when he did.
